Tavistock house front garden re-model and back garden decking

This house in Tavistock was undergoing building works in the form of a new kitchen extension when the client contacted me to help them solve a problem. The new extension was going to be 1.5 metres above ground level, which sloped away even more. How could they step out of the kitchen without falling down the gap! They already had planning permission for a decked area and therefore they required a design to ensure the decking was practical and enabled them access to their garden.

This was not all though, another part of the garden needed a new planting scheme and the front garden required a complete facelift and re-modelling to create an inviting entrance to the house. This was an interesting project as although there were 3 different areas to work on they all had to complement each other and create a unified and cohesive feel.

The final look was clean lines and the use of materials that gave a slightly contemporary feel, which matched perfectly with the house.

Design plans.
